In most of the seats of Zilla Panchayat member, party-backed candidates have lost. Even after putting full emphasis with the supporters of the minister-MLA and MP, his magic did not work on the voters.

The voters of the district rejected the BJP-backed candidates. By the time the news was written, 45 of the 57 district panchayat member seats in the district had resulted. Of these, BJP candidates won in only six seats. However, it was not yet announced by the administration nor was the certificate given to the winning candidates. In many places, BJP-backed candidates finished fourth and fifth. After the results, there is silence in the BJP camp.

Strict instructions were given by the party high command regarding the district panchayat elections. A strong strategy was created to win all the seats. In this regard, the Deputy CM, State President and party officials had several meetings. Actually, the district panchayat election was considered as a semi-final for the 2022 assembly elections. The BJP had thrown its full force on this. All the public representatives of the district were asked to campaign in support of the candidates and take feedback on the atmosphere.

The BJP fielded candidates in all 57 seats in the district. During the campaign, the party was claiming to win all the seats, but on Monday, when the trends started counting during the counting of votes, the face of the BJP leaders was blown. The counting of votes in 46 seats was completed by the time the news was written. In which BJP won just 6 seats.

Lalganj I to Jagat Passi, Patti II to Girishchandra Jaiswal, Sadar II to Preeti Singh, Belkhannath II to Ranju Pal, Manadhata III to Anilata Rajendra Saroj and Mangaura I to Poonam Insa won. At the same time, BJP has faced a severe defeat in six wards of Shigawad and Gaura blocks. BJP-backed candidates finished third and fourth.

However, the administration had not confirmed it officially till the time of writing the news and no certificate was issued to any of the winning candidates. BJP District President Hariom Mishra said that till the authorized information is received, we cannot say anything. On the other hand, Abhishek Vaish of IT Cell said that counting of about fifty seats has been completed. In which BJP candidates have won six seats. The certificate has not yet been issued. The counting of votes is still going on in the remaining seats.
