Coronavirus: Tight ban imposed till May 1 amid growing cases of corona in Maharashtra

The Maharashtra government has imposed a strict ban amid growing cases of Coronavirus, which will be implemented from 8:00 pm on Thursday. Private buses will be allowed to carry passengers with a capacity of 50 per cent, but these buses will be able to take a maximum of two stops in the city.

Mumbai, State Bureau. In order to deal with the ravages of the second wave of Corona in Maharashtra, the state government has expanded the scope of restrictions. But as the possibility was being expressed, the lockdown has been avoided.

In the state cabinet meeting held on Tuesday, almost all the ministers demanded a 15-day lockdown from the government. Giving this information after the cabinet meeting, the health minister said that the decision of the lockdown has been left to Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray. He can make an announcement in this regard after 8:00 pm on Wednesday. On Tuesday, at 8.45 pm, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, while addressing the nation, advised the states to avoid taking measures like lockdown. It is believed that Maharashtra, following this advice, has chosen the path of strict restrictions instead of lockdown. These restrictions will be in force from 8:00 pm on March 22/2021 to 7:00 am of May 1/2021.

In the new instructions issued by Chief Secretary Sitaram Kunte, apart from urgent services, other government offices have now been directed to work with a capacity of 15 percent instead of 50% Private offices, which till now were allowed to work with 50% capacity, have also been asked to work with 15% employees. They will have to accept 15% and the maximum of five employees. In the rules issued for travel, people will be able to sit in half seats of capacity except for the driver in their private vehicles. Private buses will be allowed to carry passengers with a capacity of 50%, but these buses will be able to carry a maximum of two stops in the city. Also, wherever the passengers land, there will be a 14-day quarantine stamp on the passengers’ hands.

If a passenger’s body temperature is found to be high, he or she must be sent to a Covid Care Center or a hospital. If a bus operator is found to be in violation of these rules, he will have to pay a fine of Rs 10,000. Permission has to be obtained from the Disaster Management Officer to move from one district to another district or city. Matrimonial ceremonies will have to be concluded with only 25 people in any one situation. If more than this person is found, the organizer may have to pay a penalty of Rs 50,000.
